ACM - System Configuration

Configuration Description
RS-420
The RS-420 server performs as an inter-media to connect local card readers to network environment (3G, wireless, Internet, Ethernet LAN). RS-420 server is designed with hardware MPEG4 video compression technology, and the Linux embedded operation system ensures systemt performance and potential integration capabilities.
Sensor
There are DI/DO ports to integrate with various sensors (for example, smoke detector, IR sensor, intrusion detector... etc) to upgrade the security level in the access control system.
CCTV/
Doom Camera
There are two standard BNC video input in the RS420 to connect to any standard CCTV or Doom cameras.   A snapshot or a 10-second pre-and-post trigger video clip can be configured to record to local or remote storage device for future reference.
PTZ camera
RS-420 server has a spare RS485 port that is available for PTZ camera connection.
Card Reader
There are three RS485 ports (one can be configured as RS232 once required), and each RS485 is able to connect to 4 card readers. In our system, the card readers only need to be with the very basic function to "read the card number", while all the conduction and identification will be proceeded in the RS-420 server. Therefore, the cost of card reader units will be largely reduced for the access control system.
Printer
Two USB 2.0 ports are embedded for the easy connection to external storage (for example, an optional hard disk up to 40G) or even a printer for prompt print out of access log list or abnormal events.
Multi-Transaction Manner
Multi-Transaction: 3G/GPRS/WCDMA/CDMA2000
RS-420 server is enabling you to monitor a live 10 seconds pre-and-post trigger video clip or a JPEG snapshot when there is an event. WIth your PDA, you could further remote open door simply by sending RS-420 server a command to do so.
Multi-Transaction Manner

Multi-Transaction: WIFI
With the wifi wireless transaction manner, you can freely check whoever accesses the door and whether there is any trigger event occurred during the day while you are away.

Control Center

Multi-Transaction: 10/100 Ethernet
There are two standard RJ45 connector to have RS-420 server connect to a LAN or Internet environment. If a large database is required for daily operation (for example, user ID, user reference photo, authority level / area / time... etc), RS-420 server can work as a chain to enable a control center to manage the entire system which might contain numerous RS-420 servers.

Storage Device
If the storage capacity is not sufficient, RS-420 server can direct the data to a local or remote storage device through network environment. The RS-420 server can be set to upload data from its embedded storage to a large storage device at a defined regular period of time. The access data can be better stored, protected, and maintained in both a local or remote site.
